Head Chef Monday - Friday

What you'll be doing:

At Gather & Gather, we are known as one of Ireland & the UK’s most distinctive workplace catering experts, we are passionate about great food, great coffee and putting our team members and customers at the heart of everything that we do. We are currently recruiting for a Head Chef.

Location: Indeed Capital Dock Ð

Rate of Pay: €50,000 - €55,000 per annum

Working Pattern: Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm , 40 hours per week

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
• Catering for up to 700 people per day but will depend on the day
• Managing a team of 4 Chefs and 2 Kitchen Porters
• Creating new and fun menus 
• Working on allergens 
• Responsible for staff rotas
• Building and working with the client to come up with new and exciting menus  
• Identifying opportunities to improve our food service
• Creating a positive kitchen environment where your team feel welcomed and supported
• Delivering our tasty food concepts to our customers
• Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image
• Ordering food, looking after stock control and controlling food waste
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards
• Managing budgets and successfully meeting financial targets
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations

Our ideal Head Chef will:

• Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
• Create a positive work environment where the whole team can thrive
