Chartwells Independent, the contracted caterers at Rugby School- A boarding school with 15 individual boarding houses -and Bilton Grange, co-educational independent schools for pupils from nursery to 18 years old, are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and forward-thinking Nutritionist to join our dynamic school community. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people by promoting positive nutritional behaviours and delivering engaging food and health education.
About the Role:
Based primarily at Rugby School and supporting Bilton Grange as well as Little Grange (nursery), you will be responsible for embedding a holistic, innovative approach to nutrition across the school community. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils and key stakeholders to champion healthy eating, support PSHE delivery, and contribute to the wider pastoral and academic development of our students.
You will:
- Deliver nutrition education to pupils from Reception through to Sixth Form.
- Contribute to PSHE classes with engaging, age-appropriate content.
- Translate complex nutritional information into accessible, practical advice.
- Provide bespoke nutritional guidance to individual pupils as needed.
- Promote health through “pop up” displays, posters, and digital content.
- Support the catering staff on nutrition, balancing menus, allergens, and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor and support food offerings to ensure nutritional standards.
- Contribute to the development of case studies and success stories showcasing impact.
- Collaborate with the wider Chartwells Nutrition Team and school leadership.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for a passionate nutrition professional with a strong academic foundation and an engaging presence. You should be confident in delivering to diverse audiences, capable of inspiring young people, and ready to become an integral part of a vibrant school environment.
Essential Requirements:
- A degree in Nutrition
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Experience or confidence in engaging young audiences.
- A proactive, professional, and collaborative attitude.
- A genuine interest in supporting the wellbeing of children and young people.
Desirable:
- Experience in the education or foodservice sectors.
- Familiarity with Food Information Regulations and menu planning.
- Knowledge of medical diets and allergen management.
