Sous Chef

What you'll be doing:

At Gather & Gather, we are known as one of the UK & Irelands most distinctive workplace catering experts, we are passionate about great food and great coffee and putting our employees and customers at the heart of everything that we do. We are currently recruiting for a Sous Chef to work at - Headington Campus of Oxford Brookes University.

Location: Gipsy Lane, Headington, Oxford, OX3 0BP

Working Pattern: Fully Flexible between 6:00am - 7:00pm , fixed term contract until September 2025

Rate of Pay: £17 Per Hour

Key Responsibilities: 

• To invent and create menus that are in line with client and customer needs  
• To produce food in a timely fashion to ensure smooth service to the customers 
• To enjoy the food you produce and ensure they are ‘picture perfect’ every time  
• To assist in developing and producing new service styles and food concepts 
• To communicate with the relevant parties requirements for planned menus and 
  order necessary ingredients
• Preparing and cooking fresh food for up to 1000 international students during summer school, breakfast lunch and dinner
• Working within a team of 18 Chefs, Kitchen Assistants and Kitchen Porters
