What you'll be doing:
We're currently recruiting a dedicated Vending Assistant to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Eurest on a full time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.
As a Vending Assistant, you will use your skills to maintain a high standard of vending maintenance and customer service. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Understand the functionality of a variety of different vending, coffee and water machines. Common faults of klix machines include descaling of coffee machines, replacing boilers and cup drum motors
- Ordering repair parts from Klix and Selecta.
- Connect plumbing for water, klix and bean to cup vending machines.
- 6 monthly servicing of plumbed in water machines (ie change florescent tubes, descale)
- Replace refrigeration units in confectionery and food machines.
- Install credit card readers.
- Ensure that installations are compliant with plumbing, electrical and sanitation codes and standards.
- PAT testing of machines (training provided)
- Maintain a clean, well-organized service vehicle.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Build and maintain ongoing awareness of new products and services, competitor activities.
- Always maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner.
- Basic restaurant catering equipment faults and repairs (ie changing lightbulbs, wiring plugs). Training provided
Our ideal Vending Assistant will:
Requirements
- Prior experience to repairing, installing and maintaining vending machines preferable
- Good problem identification skills.
- Able to communicate with customers and colleagues on a professional level.
- Good listening skills.
- Self-motivated, able to work through service calls efficiently.
- Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team. To manage time
- High level of integrity and work ethic.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with good driving record & provide monthly mileage records for tax purposes.
- Must have 5 year traceable employment history for airside pass application
Working Conditions
- Frequent travel is required, often up to several hours of driving per day.
- Technicians usually receive 1-2 months on-the-job supervised training
