We’re on the hunt for a Head Chef to lead the charge at Riverside East, Peppermint’s bold new venue in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. This is a dream role for a talented, driven chef ready to shape an ambitious kitchen operation across brunch, street food, and event catering — with menus that are high-quality, seasonal, and full of personality.

Whether it’s delivering stacked brunches, slinging smash burgers and hand-stretched pizza from our outdoor kiosks, or curating canapé menus for slick private events, you’ll take the culinary lead — running a busy, high-performance kitchen that thrives on creativity, energy and pace.

The Role – Head Chef

As Head Chef, you'll lead a multi-faceted food operation spanning:

Brunch Café & Sunday Roasts

- Oversee the kitchen service for our daytime café, with a menu built around vibrant brunch dishes and seasonal roasts

- Drive kitchen consistency, quality, and portion control while maintaining strong GP%

- Develop creative menus that reflect the venue’s style and seasonality

Street Food (Match Days & Events)

- Run the prep and execution of our street food outlets — including our smash burger and pizza kiosks

- Plan ahead to meet high-volume service needs on football match days and event weekends

- Ensure speed, flavour, and consistency under pressure

Event Catering & Private Hire

- Deliver event catering from canapé receptions to plated private dinners (up to 120 seated / 225 standing)

- Design custom menus for BBQs, bowl food, and bespoke corporate events

- Liaise with clients and events teams to tailor menus and execute with style

We’re Looking for a Head Chef Who…

- Has proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous in a multi-outlet, high-volume setting

- Can lead multiple kitchen formats while coaching and developing your team

- Knows how to deliver food at scale without compromising on creativity or quality

- Understands event catering flow and has a cool head during peak service

- Is passionate about seasonal produce, quality ingredients and innovative menus

- Communicates well with FOH, events and senior ops — you’re collaborative and solutions-focused
